2015 SOTYH Runner-Up Aaron Goure
Picking Dashawn Jordan for Skater of the Year Here wasn’t an easy process. Arizona saw a lot of amazing skateboarding during 2015 and many people were considered for the award, including Adam Arunski, Robbie Brockel, Ryan Lay, Kevin Braun, John O’Neal, Tino Rincon, Ryan Reyes, and obviously Jaws (who was eventually disqualified since he was in the running for the actual SOTY). The official SkateAZ SOTYH panel took into account video parts, magazine coverage, local contests, general Instagram carnage, and even simply who felt right. In the end, we all knew it was going to be a close call between Dashawn and one other truly worthy stuntman…
Aaron Goure, currently known as dennis_rawed_man, is SkateAZ’s official runner-up for 2015 SOTYH! Here are some of Aaron’s highlights from 2015:
He started off the year with a full part in Brainsworld!
Then his part in Pyramid Country‘s “Exeter” premiered at the end of March.
Only a few months later he came through with another exciting part in the new Pyramid Country tour video, Ripplescape!
Then, at Cowtown and Brimley‘s Tempe Halloween, Aaron ollied the whole euro gap!

And just before 2015 came to a close, this Welcome ad of his death-defying drop-in 50-50 came out!

Basically, if you didn’t notice Aaron in 2015 you must have been locked in a closet, because he was fucking everywhere, in your face, and entertaining everyone. Sorry Aaron- it was a close call. Maybe 2016 will be your SOTYH year..? (SOTYHY)
